Happy Memorial Day...
We had a great day today. Nice morning at home and then Ben and I went to return those tennis shoes that were slightly defective. Suprisingly the outlets were not too bad for a big sale weekend. Then over to visit with Grammy and Grampy. Thank you Grampy and Uncle Joe for serving our country. Jeff and I went to see Angels and Demons (GREAT MOVIE) and Ben went swimming at his cousins house.
Thank someone who serves our country!

One month left of kindergarten and he wears out his shoes. I picked these up today at the stride rite outlet. He LOVED them. They made him run soooo fast.
**shoe update** the next morning the back area of the shoe did not stay up... So back to the store these went and he is keeping another pair of white vecro (yes I mean velcro) shoes. I hope we can teach him to tie shoes this summer. Not a huge fan of velcro shoes.

Can you say soooo excited. We have had family campouts in the living room before, but this time daddy said he would put the tent up. And they did and they spent the entire night outside and had a wonderful night.

May 10th - Mothers Day

Mothers Day is such a special day. I am so grateful for Benjamin everyday. I tell him that he is who made me a mommy and that I love him for that. We had a wonderful day at my grammy and grampys. Happy Mothers Day to all Mothers!

We went today and watched SDSU Aztecs baseball. It was a really nice afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

So grateful today for the FOG. I know that is a strange thing to say, but the cooler weather has really helped tame the raging fires in Santa Barbara. Many of the 30,000 evacuated residents have been able to return to their homes.

So SCARY....

This Jesusita fire is just so frightening, so erractic and still so OUT OF CONTROL. I have pulled these pictures and the one of the mission (below) from the internet. So many people have been evacuated and there have been approx. 100 homes lost. I know that the firefighters, police officers and others are doing soooo much to save homes and lives. Please pray that the winds diminish and the weather cools down.

ANOTHER HORRIBLE SANTA BARBARA FIRE

Please keep all the residents, firefighters, police officers in your thoughts. The hope is that the sundowner winds do not pick up again. This is the 3rd fire in the last 9 months. Too many homes have been lost and firefighters have been injured.
